At WCS we manufacture precision mechanical springs and wire forms.  Some of our machines include Wafios, Ataya, AIM, and Torin.   

If you have never made springs, but think you would be good at it because of your highly tuned mechanical and math skills – you’re in luck!  At Wisconsin Coil Spring, you will learn how to log in to the computer, read and understand work orders, basic blueprints, and specification sheets efficiently and accurately.  You will be trained how to use precision measuring and testing devices such as calipers, micrometers, beam testers, protractors, gauges, etc. 

Good operators learn how to operate up to two or more machines at the same time.

• Education/Experience – A highly mechanical role such as this requires a high school diploma or GED, and one or more years of machine operations experience.  A technical school degree and experience with CNC operation and/or springmaking is a plus.
• Mathematical Skills – Given the precision needed in the design of a spring, you need to have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Also, occasionally you will need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and we require all employees to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
